Plants are fascinating and influence nearly every aspect of our lives.

My research spans a broad range of plant-insect related topics, from their diversity, ecology, and evolution to their applied roles in agriculture and conservation.

Embracing a multidisciplinary approach, I have collaborated with experts across diverse fields—including evolutionary and chemical ecology, chemistry, remote sensing, and even robotics—to explore these themes (check out my papers!).

We are living in an exciting era where advancing technologies allow us to delve deeper into plant science, accelerating our understanding and application of fundamental knowledge. This progress has profound implications, such as contributing to more sustainable agricultural practices.

I am currently working on projects that deepen my expertise in plant metabolomics—a powerful approach that bridges fundamental and applied research. Metabolomics provides a direct window into plant function, offering insights that are crucial for ecology, agriculture, and medicine. By capturing the biochemical complexity of plants, it helps us understand their responses to environmental changes, optimize crop resilience, and even uncover novel compounds with potential applications in health and sustainability.
